MRS. ARTHUR (MABEL) DIEDRICH Mrs. Mabel Diedrich, widow of the late Arthur J. Diedrich, passed away January 17th, 1980, at the Community Memorial Hospital in Clarkfield, Minnesota. She had been in failing health the past several months. Mabel Diedrich, the daughter of Byron Kenison and Lucy (Helgeland) Kenison was born at Bolan, Iowa on March 12, 1898. She was baptized and confirmed in the Bolan United Evangelical Church. On February 26, 1919, she was married to Arthur W. Diedrich who also resided in the same area. Arthur and Mabel farmed in the Bolan area the first few years of their married life. Other places they made their home were in Northwood, Iowa, Albert Lea, Minneapolis and Faribault, Minnesota before moving to Clarkfield, Minnesota, to be near their daughter and family. Mabel is survived by her daughter, Mavis Kuehl and husband Leo, of Clarkfield, Minnesota; granddaughter, Susan Murray, and husband, Paul, of Mexico, Missouri; and granddaughter, Charlann Wilson, and husband, Mark, of rural Clarkfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, three infant children, Gerald, Robert, and Betty Lou; two brothers, Lewis C. Kenison and Roy H. Kenison; step-brother, Fred Kenison, and step-sister, Alice Kenison. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 21, 1980, at the First English Lutheran Church in Faribault, Minnesota, where she had retained her membership. Pastor Paul O. Monson will officiate. Burial will be at the Sunset Rest Cemetery in Northwood, Iowa. Her nephew, Pastor Clifford Dirksen, will officiate at the graveside service. Casket Bearers will be nephews of Mabel, namely: Glennis Stieger, Keith Kenison, LaVerne Diedrich, Udell Larson and Pastor Clifford Dirksen, and godchild, Brian Kenison. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
