Mabel T. Hanson was born September 24, 1899, to parents Mikkel and Unni (Boyum) Bjaastad in Hayfield, Minnesota. Mabel and Gerald Hanson were united in marriage on April 8, 1925 at the Lutheran Parsonage in Hayfield, Minnesota. To this union, two daughters were born: Una and Ardythe. Mabel lived most of her life in the Hayfield, Minnesota area. She formerly held employment in a grocery store and also as a telephone operator. She was a 50 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary and also various church groups. Mabel passed away at the Clarkfield Care Center, Clarkfield, Minnesota, on November 2, 1993, at the age of 94. She is survived by daughter, Ardythe Swanson of Clarkfield, Minnesota; five grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brother, Otto Bjaastad; sister, Mrs. Lloyd (Maude) Baken; sister-in-law, Margaret Bjaastad.
