Obituary

Mabel Beltz Gutsch, 79, of Montevideo, Minnesota, died Sunday, December 8, 1985, at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital. Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 1985, at Clarkfield Lutheran Church, Clarkfield, Minnesota, with Pastors Gordon Trelstad and Ron Mattheson officiating. Final Resting Place is the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery of Boyd, Minnesota. She was born May 11, 1906, to Christian and Pauline (Anderson) Gudim near Aitkin, Minnesota. She was baptized in June, 1906 at Aitkin and confirmed in 1920 at Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mabel graduated from Edison High School in Minneapolis and attended the University of Minnesota. She also was employed by the University as an accountant. She married Gilford J. Beltz and to this union their daughter Joyce was born. After Gilford's death she married Rudolph B. Gutsch on November 4, 1972, in Newport Beach, California. Following the death of her husband, Rudolph, she moved to Montevideo. At the services vocal music was provided by Paulie Skaja Wagner. Karen Donner was the organist. Congregational Hymns were "Beautiful Savior" and "I Know That My Redeemer Lives." Casket Bearers were Gordy Albertson, Richard Christopherson, Harold Larson, Orville Saue, Jon Schacherer and Clifford Skaja. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Beltz Gelhar and son-in-law Ervin of Clarkfield; grandchildren, Diane Olson of New Orleans, Louisiana, Janet Smith of Minneapolis, Carol Fenske of St. Michael, Minnesota, and Glenn Gelhar of Bothell, Washington; great grandchildren, Monica and Valerie Smith and Brennan and Erik Gelhar; and one sister-in-law, Agnes Beltz Olsen of Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Guilford Beltz and Rudolph Gutsch and one sister, Clarise. Arrangements by Lynner Funeral Home Since 1891 Clarkfield Minnesota
