IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lyndon Sigfrid
Lofdahl
August 15, 1914 – January 22, 1968
Lyndon Sigfrid Lofdahl was born on August 15, 1914, at Montevideo, Minnesota, to Swan Sigfrid and Anne Olivia (Holmquist) Lofdahl. He passed away quietly at his home in Clarkfield on January 22, 1968, after a long illness, at the age of 53 years. "Lindy" was graduated with the Montevideo High School class of 1932. He worked at the Arneson Drug Company in Montevideo for a time and then for several years at Gamble Skogmo in Minneapolis. In 1940 he came to Clarkfield to work at the Farmers and Merchants State Bank and was serving as president and chairman of the board at the time of his death. On October 17, 1936, he was united in marriage to Louise Elkjer at the Montevideo Methodist Church. To this union were born two children, Marcus and Virginia. He was active in the Clarkfield Alliance Church, the local Salvation Army, Red Cross, Lions' Club, Boy Scouts and Civic and Commerce. Lyndon was a great lover of music and ardent violinist, taking part at many weddings and community events. A recording of his music, usually accompanied by his daughter, Virginia, was played at an opening to the services on Thursday. He is survived by his widow, Louise; son Marcus of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; daughter, Virginia (Mrs. Dwight Reber) of Ozark, Alabama; one sister Mildred (Mrs. Eugene Bird) and a brother, Douglas, both of Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Sigfrid Lofdahl. IN MEMORY OF LYNDON S.
