Lydia Esther (Leppke) Koepp (May 10, 1917 ~ May 18, 2012) Lydia Esther (Leppke) Koepp was born May 10, 1917, to Fred and Martha (Roske) Leppke on the family farm. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church of Omro Township. Lydia was united in marriage to Erhardt Koepp on December 8, 1940, at St. John's Lutheran Church. They were blessed with three sons: Virgil, Dennis and Arlen. Lydia and Erhardt's lives were centered around their church and their farm. Lydia was a very hard worker that could be found working beside Erhardt whether it was doing chores or walking the bean fields. Lydia was known for her big gardens and canning many quarts of vegetables and fruits. She always enjoyed their trips together whether it was to the State Fair, visiting relatives, on bus trips or going to household sales looking for bargains. Lydia spent many hours sewing quilts for her family and nursing homes. Above all her biggest joy was her grandchildren. Seeing Megan, Rob or Scott walk in would always bring a smile to her face. Lydia passed away on Friday, May 18, 2012, at Sanford Canby Medical Center at the age of 95 years and 8 days. She is survived by her sons: Dennis (Sheila) of Duluth, Minnesota, and Arlen (Julie) of Boyd, Minnesota; and her grandchildren: Megan Koepp of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Rob of Clarkfield and Scott (Fiancé Jen Riecke) of Rolla, Missouri. She is also survived by her brothers Ed and Victor Leppke of Minneota, Minnesota; and her daughter-in-law Mary (Koepp) Hoffman of Sacred Heart, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Erhardt, her son Virgil, grandson Timmy and her brothers, Arnold and Harry Leppke. Blessed be her memory.
