Ludwig O. Flaa was born December 1, 1878, at Ishpeming, Michigan, the son of Ole and Ingeborg (Hovdahl) Flaa. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and until recently was a member of the St. Petri Lutheran Church at Camp Release Township. At the time of his death, he was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. Ludwig farmed on his same farm near Boyd all his life until about three years ago when he moved to Boyd. In January, 1963, he moved to the Clarkfield Nursing Home, where he has since resided. Mr. Flaa passed away at the Clarkfield Community Hospital on Monday, June 10, 1963, at the age of 84 years. He is survived by five nephews, one niece and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. IN MEMORY OF LUDWIG O.
