Lucy Amelia Momsen was born in Flushing, New York, on August 11, 1897 to Hart and Susie (Bowers) Momsen. Lucy graduated from the Ancker Hospital, School of Nursing in St. Paul, Minnesota, as a Registered Nurse. Lucy was an active member in Augustana Lutheran Church Ladies Aid, Hospital Auxiliary, and in Eastern Star for over 50 years. Lucy loved her flower gardens and was a charter member of the Clarkfield Garden Club. Lucy has been at her home on the farm with Harry except for the past few weeks. Lucy died Wednesday, October 16, 1991, in the Clarkfield Care Center at the age of 94. Lucy is survived by Harry, her husband of almost 63 years; sisters, Elizabeth Kemp of Isanti, Minnesota, Helen Bartholomew of St. Paul, Minnesota, Sue Rivers and her husband Archie of Corrales, New Mexico; and brother, John Momsen and his wife Mary of St. Paul Park, Minnesota. Lucy is preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Eli, Charles, Theodore, and Frank Momsen.
