Lucy Ida Tandberg was born at Madison, Minnesota, on January 3, 1892, to parents Eric and Bell (Lerdahl) Hill. She was united in marriage to Einar Tandberg at Madison where they made their home until 1922. He then continued his business as a shoe repair business in Clarkfield, Minnesota, until his death January 31, 1957. She remained in her Clarkfield home until her health failed. She passed away at the Careview Nursing Home in Minneapolis on Friday, April 17, 1970, at the age of 78 years. She had been a resident there the past year. She is survived by five children: Edwin of Concord, California, Bernice (Mrs. James Deehr) of Ephrata, Washington, Clayton of Cape Canaveral, Florida, Robert, and Lois Nelson of Minneapolis; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; and one sister, Mrs. Frank Wallsmith of Madison, Minnesota.
