IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lucille F.
(Anderson) Hermanson
October 17, 1921 – January 8, 2010
Lucille F. (Anderson) Hermanson (October 17, 1921 ~ January 8, 2010) Lucille Florence (Anderson) Hermanson was born October 17, 1921, in Providence Township of Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota, to parents Victor and Phoebe Anderson. She was baptized at Providence Valley Lutheran Church and confirmed at St. Petri Lutheran. She later attended Clarkfield High School. Lucille was married to Arthur N. Hermanson, of Boyd, Minnesota, on April 8, 1943, in Montevideo, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with two children, DeWayne and Barbara. Lucille devoted her life to her husband Art and their family. They farmed near Boyd until retirement but continued to live on their farm their entire married life of 66 years. She much enjoyed the outdoor areas of their farm especially flowers and gardening and the green crops growing. She also relished traveling with Art to many areas of our country, and especially collecting picture albums of all the relatives and friends they visited. Lucille was very involved in their community and church activities. She was a member of Trinity Ladies organizations, Sunday School teacher, and other church committees. Her greatest social pleasure though was simply being with and visiting many friends, relatives and acquaintances. Her warm smile and gentle demeanor were enjoyed by many. Later years found Lucille and Art in many card games, camping, fishing, bowling, needlework and just being with family. She particularly enjoyed her granddaughters and great grandson, who will be serving as Honorary Casket Bearers. So many things cross our minds when we lose someone so precious. Oh, how we wish we had done this or that for her, since she was always doing things for us. We know we cannot replace the center of our family. We can only cherish everything about her and listen to our Lord. His promise is the sustaining hope we have. He will unite us all again in a better place. Lucille Hermanson passed away suddenly on Friday, January 8, 2010, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson, Minnesota, at the age of 88 years, 2 months and 22 days. Our wife, mother, grandma and great grandma was preceded in death by her "mom and dad," Victor and Phoebe, whom we know were the source of Lucille's loving ways. Also preceding her were four sisters: Iarud Ludvigson, Irene Forlund, Avenell Saue, Ione Falk and three brothers: Arnold, Monrud and Roger Anderson. She is survived by her lifelong partner and love, Art, and her children: DeWayne (and Karen) of Boyd, and Barbara (and Norm) Hendrickson of Hopkins, Minnesota. She is also survived by her granddaughters: Celyne Hermanson, Dawn Hermanson, Andrea (and Nic) Schmidt, Renae Hermanson, Erin Hendrickson and Bethany (and Kevin) O'Connell and great grandson Chase Lee and by sister Vivian Anderson, brother Gerald Anderson and sisters-in-law, Katherine Anderson and Phyllis Anderson. We were all so blessed by God to have her and her unconditional love in our lives. In Loving Memory of Lucille F.
