Louise Kelm, wife of the late William Kelm was born in Hamburg, Germany, on May 5, 1885, the daughter of Dietrich and Wilhelmenia (Morgenthal) Kammeyer. She was baptized in the Lutheran Church of that city and after immigrating to America as a young girl was confirmed at Gibbon, Minnesota. On October 26, 1904, she was united in marriage to Mr. William Kelm, who made his home in this area, and they lived here all their lives. The last three and one-half years, she resided in Boyd where she was cared for by her daughter, Mrs. Alfred Oien. On March 31, 1962, she suffered a stroke and died on May 7, 1962, two days after her 77th birthday. Surviving her departure are five children: William Kelm, Jr. of Granite Falls, Minnesota, Leona (Mrs. Leonard Nehring), Edna (Mrs. Alfred Oien) , both of Boyd, Albert Kelm of Ivanhoe, Minnesota, and Elmer of Olivia, Minnesota; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; two sisters: Dora Eilvey of Longview, Washington, and Esther Splitgerber of Chicago, Illinois; four brothers: Christ Kammeyer of Palouse, Washington, John Kammayer of Mascow, Idaho, Fred Kammeyer of Chicago, Illinois, and Henry Kammeyer of Granite Falls, Minnesota. Preceding her into eternity are her parents, her husband, her son, Arnold, three brothers and one sister. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
