Louis Olai Veldey was born August 9, 1880, in Sandnes Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, the son of Osmond G. Veldey and Marte Christine (Hanson) Veldey. He passed away September 15, 1955, in his Hanley Falls home, at the age of 75 years. Mr. Veldey was a retired farmer who never married and lived alone. He is survived by a sister living in New York, brother, Oliver in Westby, Wisconsin, brother, Henry of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, and one brother serving as a pastor in Canada.
