Louis Hegna was born April 4, 1899, at Clarkfield the son of Halvor and Marie (Eikness) Hegna. He was baptized at the Clarkfield Lutheran Church on April 23, 1899, and confirmed there on May 24, 1914, by Rev. O.T. Storaasli. Louis spent most of his life farming in the Clarkfield community. He passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 1963, as a result of an automobile accident. He reached the age of 64 years. Preceding him in death are his parents, brothers, Halvor and Theodore, and sister, Mable (Mrs. Morris Brekke). Surviving is one brother, Joseph, of Long Beach, California, besides a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
