Funeral services were held Monday, July 15, 1974, at Hazel Run Lutheran Church for Lorraine Wilson who passed away July 12, 1974, at the Clarkfield Hospital after a lingering illness. Pastor Fyrand officiated at the 10:30 a.m. service. Mrs. Duane Jacobson was at the organ and Duane Jacobson and Walter Wilson sang. Casket Bearers were nephews: Larry Aamot, Gary Hofman, Gary Olson, David Wilson, Mark Wilson, and Steven Wilson. Final resting place is in Hazel Run Cemetery. Lorraine C. Olson was born in Hazel Run on September 16, 1922, to Clarence H. and Laura Winson Olson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Hazel Run Lutheran Church and attended Hazel Run Grade School and Clarkfield High School. After graduation she atteded St. Cloud State College for two years and received her teaching certificate. She then taught country school for two years. On December 11, 1943, she was united in marriage to Donald C. Wilson in St. Paul, Minnesota. They have resided on a farm near Hazel Run for 30 years. Lorraine was active in many activities including Ladies Aid, Auxiliary, and Sunday School. Three children were born to Donald and Lorraine: Clair Wilson of St. Bonifacius, Minnesota, Mrs. Janet Westre of Willmar, Minnesota, and Laurel Wilson of Hazel Run. Besides her family, those left to mourn include her mother, Laura Olson; two grandchildren Chad and Traci Wilson; one sister, Mrs. Joann Boss of Lakeville, Minnesota, and one brother, Leo Olson of Clarkfield; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
