Obituary

Lorraine Dotseth Wilson was born February 26, 1918, in Friendship Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, the daughter of Alfred and Hilda (Dahlberg) Dotseth. She was baptized by Rev. O.T. Storaasli, and confirmed by Rev. J.E.H. Akre, in the Spring Creek Church, of which she was a member. On September 16, 1949, she was united in marriage with Chester C. Wilson. Lorraine was graduated from Clarkfield High School with the class of 1936. The following year she took a post graduate course in business at the same school, and in 1946 took a course in x-ray technician work at Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis. Since the time of her graduation from high school until about a year before her death, she was on the medical staff with Dr. M.I. Hauge and the late Dr. M.M. Hauge. Lorraine's health failed gradually for the past two years. Death came at Clarkfield Memorial Hospital on Friday, April 27, 1951, at 7:55 p.m. Her passing is mourned by her husband; her daughter, Terryl; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Dotseth of Granite Falls; three sisters: Hazel (Mrs. Harold Foster) of Bloomington, Illinois, Ardith (Mrs. Chris Johnson) of Hazel Run, and Clarice (Mrs. G.A. LeGros) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two brothers: Irving of Mannheim, Germany, and Warren of Minneapolis; and many other relatives and friends who will mourn the untimely passing of a splendid young woman. Lorraine was of the unselfish, kindly and cheerful type that is always ready to serve, never complaining. Everyone who knew her counted her as a friend.
