Loren M. Peterson March 31st, 1931 - June 24th, 2017 Loren Peterson died Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Comfort First MN in Blaine, Minnesota, at the age of 86. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 13, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. at Augustana Lutheran Church in Clarkfield. Rev. David Peterson will officiate and interment will be at Swede Home Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church. Arrangements are with Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield. Loren Myron Peterson was born on March 31, 1931 in Swede Prairie Township of Yellow Medicine County, MN to Ludvig and Idela (Christenson) Peterson. The family made there home in Yellow Medicine County just a few miles south of Boyd. Loren attended school through 8th grade, then joined his father in farming. He was confirmed at Swede Home Lutheran Church and was a member there for many years. Loren was a lifelong farmer and worked on the family farm and later purchased additional farmland. He was united in marriage to Marlowe Lee on April 12, 1952 and they made their home on the family farm near Boyd. Loren enjoyed farming, was also a dairy farmer and he loved chickens. Loren is survived by his wife, Marlowe; 4 children: Laureen Peterson of Delano, MN, Loren (Mickey) Peterson of Clarkfield, MN, Roberta Getskow of Becker, MN, and Rodney Peterson of Park Rapids, MN; 12 grandchildren: Craig Anderson, Pamela Anderson, Jason Anderson, Scott (Jill) Daignault, Kelly Peterson, Josh (Lindsey) Binstock, Tony (Kaley) Reuvers, Dee Engelke, Jenny Moudry, Jade Getskow, Ashely (Brad) Rogers, and Carrie (Jean) Jensen; numerous great-grandchildren; and sisters: Verna Plowmann of Illinois and Bernice Fliss of California.
