Loren Michael "Mickey" Peterson was born on May 31, 1953, in Clarkfield, MN, to Loren and Marlowe (Lee) Peterson. Mickey attended Clarkfield High School before enlisting in the United States Navy in 1969. After his time in the service, Mickey attended Canby Vo-Tech for auto mechanic and worked at several auto dealerships in both Arkansas and Minnesota. He also worked for his parents on their dairy farm. In 1992, Mickey was injured at work and unable to continue his career, prompting him to move to Clarkfield. On November 29, 1979, Mickey was united in marriage to Rose Ruberto and the couple had one daughter, Carrie. Mickey was rarely without a pet during his lifetime and was particularly fond of shih-tzus.

On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, Mickey passed away at his home in Clarkfield under the care of hospice at the age of 72. He is preceded in death by his parents, Loren and Marlowe, and brother, Bradley.

Mickey is survived by his daughter, Carrie Jean Jensen (fiancé Patrick Bell); 4 grandchildren, Emily, McKenzie, Abbigayle, and Anthony; sisters, Laureen Peterson and Roberta Getskow; brother, Rodney Peterson, and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 14th, 2025, at 1 PM at Swede Home Lutheran Cemetery, rural Clarkfield.
