Obituary

Loni Jean Kompelien, 4, daughter of Jeffrey and Julaine (Knutson) Kompelien of rural Minneota, Minnesota, died Saturday, May 5, 1984, at the University of Minnesota Hospitals. Services were held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 9, 1984, at the St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Normania Township with Pastor John T. Christiansen officiating. Final Resting Place is St. Lucas Lutheran Church Cemetery, Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. She was born February 24, 1980, in Marshall, Minnesota. She became ill of a neuroblastoma tumor in November 1983, and after a valiant struggle, passed away. She is survived by her parents; brother Andrew Owen Kompelien, 2, of Minneota; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Knutson and Mr. and Mrs. Erling Kompelien of Minneota; uncles and aunts, Stan and Penny Knutson, Tom and Kristine Reed and Robert Kompelien and Karen; plus cousins Shawn, Jared and Shannon Knutson. At the funeral the organist was Mrs. Connie Pehrson with special music by Mrs. Kris Reed. Casket Bearers were Kevin Anderson, Larry Hansen, John Hanson and John Hoff.
