Lois Jacqueline Schilling was born February 9, 1913, at Chicago, Illinois, to parents Edward and Frances C. (Shafer) Keller. She attended Fenger High School in Chicago and graduated from the University of Chicago in 1933. Lois married Leo F. Schilling in January of 1942 at Chicago, Illinois. They were the parents of two children: Edward and Sara. She worked as an executive secretary for Johnson and Johnson and then taught elementary grades in the Chicago Public Schools for over 20 years. After retiring from teaching, she volunteered at Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic for 28 years. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, bridge and golf and spending time with her friends and family. Lois passed away at Central Minnesota Senior Care Facility, Marshall, Minnesota, on Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at the age of 93 years. She is survived by her children: Edward F. Schilling of Oak Lawn, Illinois, and Sara (and Allan) Johnson of Hazel Run, Minnesota. She is also survived by sisters Helen K. Isaacson of Arlington Heights, Illinois, Edna Papazian of Arlington Heights, Illinois, and Robinette (and F. Eugene) Simerz of Poplar Grove, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Edward O. Keller, Jr. and brothers-in-law Robert Isaacson and Haig Papazian.
