Lois Marlene
(Danielson) Denenberg
March 18, 1940 – July 20, 2025
Lois Marlene (Danielson) Denenberg was born on March 18, 1940, to Olender and Mildred (Peterson) Danielson in Clarkfield, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Lucas Lutheran Church and graduated valedictorian of her class at Cottonwood High School before attending Augustana College. In 1959, Lois married Jim Hanson, and the couple had three children: Karen, Gary, and Anita.
Lois spent the majority of her working years in careers at the VA Hospital in Tomah, WI, and the public library, which she managed for many years. After a brief stint living in Beloit, WI, Lois moved to Reno, NV, where she would meet her second husband, Earle Denenberg, and the couple were united in marriage on March 31, 1991.
Lois passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at the Clarkfield Care Center at the age of 85. She is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Kris Hertel; brother, Duane Danielson, sister-in-law, Cleo Danielson, and son-in-law, Vito LoCricchio.
Lois is survived by her three children, Karen Hertel, Gary Hanson, and Anita LoCricchio; grandchildren, Kyle Hertel, Missy, Andrea, and Brianna Hanson, Noah and Brayden LoCricchio; brother, Lyle (Jonnie) Danielson, several nieces, nephews, and longtime friends.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Sunday, July 27th, 2025, from 1-3 PM at St. Lucas Lutheran Church, rural Cottonwood, with a prayer service and time of sharing beginning at 1 PM. Interment to follow in the Clarkfield Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Lucas Lutheran Church or to the family.
