Obituary

Lisl Marie Loesch, daughter of Michael and Lorraine (Stueland) Loesch and granddaughter of Mrs. Helen Stueland, was born June 27, 1979, in Rome, Georgia. She was baptized, received her First Communion, and was confirmed in the Roman Catholic faith. She attended school in Theodore, Alabama and Park Forest, Illinois and graduated from Rich South High School in Richton Park, Illinois in 1997. Lisl was active in a number of high school organizations, was editor of the school yearbook, and played on the girl's soccer team. Lisl attended the University of Illinois, Prairie State Junior College, and was about to enter Governor's State University at the onset of her illness. Lisl was employed by Outback Steakhouse in Orland Park, Illinois, and had completed studies at Prairie State Junior College in 2005 when she was first diagnosed with cancer in July. She had planned to enter Governor's State University that fall that fall and complete her senior year to earn a degree in Early Childhood Education. She was a member of St. Ireneaus Catholic Church in Park Forest, Illinois. Lisl lost her battle with cancer on Tuesday morning, July 11, 2006, at Celebration Hospital in Celebration, Florida, at the age of 27 years and 2 weeks. She is survived by her two cherished children: Daniel and Michael Needham; beloved parents Michael and Lorraine (Stueland) Loesch of Mason, Ohio; fiance Daniel Needham; brothers: Christopher M. Loesch of Alexandria, Virginia, and Timothy E. Loesch of Ft. Polk, Louisiana; and grandmother Helen Stueland of Granite Falls, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by grandmother, Mrs. Melva Loesch, and her grandfathers Earl Stueland and Alois Loesch. Blessed be her memory.
