Linnae June Stensrud, age 72, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 17 at 2:00 PM at Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield.  Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to services at Lynner Funeral Home.  The burial will follow in the Clarkfield Lutheran Cemetery.

Linnae was born in Montevideo, Minnesota, to Amelia Lucille Stensrud (Stenevik) and Melvin Bernard Stensrud on October 20, 1945, and grew up in nearby Clarkfield.  She graduated from the Minnesota School of Business in 1964 and worked throughout her life as a court reporter.  She married Frank J. Bauer on December 18, 1965, they raised their children  in Cold Spring, Minnesota, and divorced 25 years later.

Linnae was an avid musician, craftsperson, and traveler.  She played in many community bands, most recently the Minneapolis Police Band.  She served as church organist for many years, and was a master flutist.  She enjoyed traveling throughout many countries.

Linnae is survived by her four children, Ron Bauer (Julie), Greta Bauer (Nicole), Laura Smith (Paul), and Jenny Bauer (Anna); siblings Kevin Stensrud (Sharon), Jeanette Andresen, and Jeff Stensrud (Brenda); and her grandchildren, Freya, Cassondra (Brent), Aeric and Jonah.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
