Obituary

Linda Kay (Stiklestad) Klemensen was born July 18, 1944, in Claremont, South Dakota, to parents Clifford and Mildred (Worsech) Stiklestad. She was baptized on September 15, 1946, and confirmed May 25, 1958, at First English Lutheran Church. She attended Groton Elementary and Groton High School and graduated in 1962. Linda and Junior Klemensen were married April 20, 1963, at Andover, South Dakota. They were the parents of five children: Laurie, Jon, Lisa, Hope and Jason. She lived in Claremont, Groton and Andover, South Dakota until 1970. The family moved to Clarkfield, Minnesota, and Linda had various jobs including working at Trailways and Len's Steak House of Montevideo, Minnesota, and also cleaning houses. She enjoyed monopoly, collecting stuffed bears, sewing and knitting, double solitary, yatzee, reading Danielle Steel books and going to Jackpot Junction Casino. Her passion was her grandchildren. Linda left to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall, Minnesota, at the age of 63 years, 7 months and 16 days. She is survived by her husband Junior of Marshall, Minnesota, and her children: Laurie (and Dave) Lyngen of Watson, Minnesota, Jon (and Michelle) Klemensen of Fairbault, Minnesota, Lisa (and Larry) Trevino of LaBlanca, Texas, Hope (and Ruben) Reyna of Marshall, Minnesota, and Jason (and Megan) Klemensen of Lynd, Minnesota; and 12 grandchildren: Brian, Mason, Joshua, Brandon, Amanda, Vanessa, Brian, Benjamin, Damien, Fayth, Charyti, and Kristi. Also surviving are siblings: sister Tammie (Jeff) Higgins of Milan, Minnesota, and three brothers Larry (Joy) Stiklestad of Claremont, South Dakota, Cliff (Lois) Stiklestad of Castlewood, South Dakota, and Rick (Julie) Stiklestad of Minneota, Minnesota; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Leonard "Butch" Stiklestad, sister-in-law Pam Stiklestad and granddaughter, Veronica Trevino. She was beautiful and wonderful wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. She will be remembered by all for her good sense of humor.
