Obituary

Lillie Mary (Welkener) Rosin was born September 14, 1893, at St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Christian Welkener and Elizabeth (Mueller) Welkener. She was baptized October 1, 1893, in Holy Cross Lutheran Church by Rev. C.C. Schmidt, and after being instructed in the basic doctrines of the Christian faith was confirmed on March 24, 1907, in the same church by the same pastor. On May 16, 1917, she was united in marriage to Rev. Louis Rosin, who was at that time stationed as a missionary in Winnepeg, Manitoba, Canada. This union was blessed with the gift of seven children. She helped her husband as he served parishes in Campbell, Minnesota, from 1919-1927, Tyro Township, Boyd, Minnesota, from 1927-1949, and Easton, Minnesota, from 1949-1959. Since the retirement of her husband in April, 1959, she lived at Montevideo, Minnesota. On December 28, 1960, the Lord suddenly called her to her eternal home in heaven at the age of 67 years, at the Montevideo Hospital. Mrs. Rosin is survived by her husband, Rev. Louis Rosin; her seven children: Clara (Mrs. Wilfred Laechelt) and Norma (Mrs. DeForest Hartfiel) of the local area; Dr. Wilbert Rosin of St. Paul's College, Concordia, Missouri, Werner, a teacher at Nuernberg, Germany, Rev.
