Lillie Philipson Fremo was born July 11, 1906, at Greenwich, Connecticut, to parents Carl and Lorena (Haviland) Philipson. She was baptized in the Christian faith shortly after birth and was confirmed in 1912 at the Minnesota Valley Lutheran Church of rural Louisburg, Minnesota. On June 24, 1933, Lillie Philipson and Albin Fremo were married. They had three sons and a daughter. The family farmed in the Boyd, Minnesota area since that time. Mrs. Fremo passed away September 21, 1978, at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital at the age of 72 years. Survivors include three sons: Gerald of Boyd, Minnesota, Roger of Moorhead, Minnesota, and David of Kennewick, Washington; six grandchildren; sisters: Clara Dahl of Hopkins, Minnesota, Evelyn of Russells Point, Ohio; brothers: Carl Philipson of Springfield, Illinois, Bill Nelson of Big Bear Lake, California, Leonard of California; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albin, in 1972; one daughter; her parents and one sister. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
