Lillian May Pease was born May 1, 1900 in Barren County, Wisconsin to parents Albert and Ella (Hoisington) Rice. Her early years were spent in Wisconsin with most of her childhood in Spokane, Washington. Lillian married Holister L. Pease on June 23, 1921. To this union four children were born: Marion, Arthur, Esther, and Luella. In the early 1930's the family made their home in Dexter, Minnesota. After her family left home, Lillian took up painting and sewing. She moved to Clarkfield in 1963 and continued her painting. She lived in her home until November 1995 when she entered the Clarkfield Care Center. Lillian passed away on Wednesday evening, December 6, 1995 at the Clarkfield Care Center at the age of 95 years, 7 months and 6 days. She is survived by her daughter Esther Anderson of Clarkfield; four granddaughters; and 11 great grandchildren; sister Mabel Johnson of Hayword, Wisconsin; and many neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Holister, daughters Marion and Luella, and son Arthur. Blessed be her memory.
