Lillian Lucille Kroger Iverson was born March 9, 1918 to parents John and Mabel (Henry) Kroger at Cottonwood, Minnesota. She married Melvern G. Iverson on May 31, 1939 at Milbank, SD. Lillian was in the grocery business for over 40 years. She and her husband, Melvern, operated a grocery in Hanley Falls from 1942 until 1972, at which time they sold it to their son Terry. Lillian lived in Hanley Falls until December of 1995 when she fell and broke her hip and then became a resident of the Granite Manor. Lillian liked to read and sew. She was a past member of the Legion Auxiliary. She passed away at the Granite Manor on Friday, November 22, 1996 at the age of 78 years, 8 months, and 14 days. She is survived by her son, Terry, of Hanley Falls and sisters-in-law: Avis Kroger, Harriet Iverson and Mildred Stevens plus nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Melvern in 1991, and brothers: Johnnie, Lloyd. Eddie, Earl, and an infant brother.
