Lestoff August Miller was born August 31, 1905, in Swede Prairie Township of parents Hans O. and Marie (Reishus) Miller. He was baptized and confirmed in the St. Lucas Church and was a lifetime member of that church. On August 31, 1930, he was united in marriage to Sylvia Peterson. Lestoff and Sylvia settled on a farm in Normania Township and lived there all their married lives. They had just built a new home in Clarkfield and had planned to move in this week. Lestoff submitted to hip surgery in Rochester on January 14, 1972. He came back home on February 3, but complications set in and he was taken back to Rochester on the 10th where major abdominal surgery was performed.
