Obituary

Leslie Oliver Williamson was born September 16, 1919, to Sam and Evelyn (Hoy) Williamson in Dewey County, South Dakota. Les grew up in the Timber Lake, South Dakota area, where he graduated from High School. His post High School education included a Bachelor of Science Degree from South Dakota State University. Leslie served as a Naval Officer in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Following his Naval duty, he achieved a Master of Science Degree from Montana State University. Les met and married Doris Frances Stiles on June 18, 1948, in Santa Clara, California. To them were born five boys: Charles Leslie, Clifford Hugh, Edwin Dale, Robert Lee, and Vance Justin. Les spent most of his life working in government agriculture, until he re-schooled and took the position as Administrator of the Clarkfield Care Center, Clarkfield, Minnesota, where he served for 10 years from 1964. His wife Doris went to be with the Lord in 1986 and Leslie later married Dorothy L. Owings, who as well on January 29, 1996, preceded him in death. Les went to be with the Lord on November 23, 1999, from the Clarkfield Care Center at the age of 80 years and 2 months. He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Frances, wife Dorothy, son Charles Leslie and son Clifford Hugh. He is survived by son, Edwin (and Pat) Williamson of Clarkfield with their children, granddaughter Charity Williamson of Granite Falls, Minnesota, granddaughter Darcie Williamson of Red Wing, Minnesota, and grandson Jason Williamson of Pipestone, Minnesota; and son Robert (and Marcy) Williamson of Hot Springs, South Dakota, and their daughter, granddaughter Briana Williamson; and son Vance (and Valerie) Williamson of Mt. Lake, Minnesota, and their family, granddaughter Sheresa, granddaughter Tiffany and grandson Chad. Blessed be his memory.
