Lesley Annette Rysdahl (April 10, 1957 ~ January 6, 2011) Leslie Annnette Rysdahl was born April 10, 1957, in Duluth, Minnesota, to parents George and Marjorie (Knutson) Rysdahl. She passed away peacefully at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital on Thursday, January 6, 2011, after a two day stay, with Lynnette and Kevin by her side. Lesley loved telling anyone she met when her birthday was. After living many years in the Twin Cities area, she moved back to the Clarkfield area in 2007, then to the Clarkfield Care Center in November of 2010. Lesley loved people. She will be remembered by her family for the joy she brought home at Christmas as she begged all to guess what she got for them. She loved to watch television; some of her favorite shows were the Love Boat and (All Star) professional wrestling. She enjoyed watching the Vikings, and she seemed to think they always won. Singing loudly along with her favorite artists (Michael Jackson and Glenn Campbell) were also ways she spent her time. Her many talents included giving and receiving hugs, organization, and stubbornness. And once you got her going, her laughing was uncontrollable. For many summers, the 4th of July was spent with family and friends at Birchwood where she was honored as the first queen of the campground. She is survived by her parents, Marjorie (Knutson) and George Rysdahl of Clarkfield; her brothers and sisters: Scott (Gigi) Rysdahl of New Ulm, Minnesota, Lynnette (John) Mahlke of Woodbury, Minnesota, Kevin (Julie) Rysdahl of St. Michael, Minnesota, Kelvin (Kirsten) Jasek-Rysdahl of Turlock, California, Stefanie (Joel) Fuhr of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; and 13 nephews and nieces. The family wishes to thank all of the staff at the different homes she has lived in, and most recently the Clarkfield Care Center. We also thank the staff of the Montevideo Hospital and the assistance they provided during her last few days. (Memorials can be given to Camp Friendship or the American Diabetes Association.)
