Leora Lily (Braun) Friberg (June 26, 1921 - November 11, 2010) Leora Lily Friberg was born June 26, 1921, at Cortland, Minnesota, to parents Henry and Lily (Seaman) Braun. She was one of nine children. She graduated from Wood Lake High School. Leora married Elroy V. Friberg at Wood Lake, Minnesota, on January 14, 1950. They were the parents of a daughter, Claire. Elroy and Leora farmed the Friberg family farm in Tyro Township. Following the death of Elroy in 1984, Leora moved to Clarkfield. She remained in her home until March of 2009 when she became a resident of the Clarkfield Care Center. She was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and also active in the WELCA. She loved to bake and sew and enjoyed visiting. Leora passed away at the Clarkfield Care Center on Thursday, November 11, 2010, at the age of 89 years, 4 months and 16 days. She is survived by her daughter Claire and son-in-law Bill Hartman of St. Paul, Minnesota, and granddaughters Rena Hartman and Ellen Hartman. She is also survived by her sister Elthea Schultz and brothers Harold and Jerry Braun. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elroy and five siblings. Blessed be her memory.
