Obituary

Leonard Hardin Cole, son of Lewis and Hannah (Hagen) Cole was born May 27, 1900, at the home farm four miles south of Hanley Falls. He became a Child of God through Holy Baptism at the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church on July 1, 1900, by Rev. Ole Lokensgaard. He Has been a lifetime member of this congregation. Leonard attended country school in District No. 10, Sandnes Township. He farmed for many years on the home farm with his father and brothers. For several of the later years he worked and stayed with his brothers and sisters. For about the past five years he has been a resident of the Clarkfield Care Center. Here he has enjoyed his hobby of making replicas of miniature farm implements and gifts. On November 26, 1974, Leonard passed away at the Clarkfield Hospital after a lingering illness. He is survived by six brothers and two sisters: Marvin of Minneota, Minnesota, Arthur and Rudolph of Granite Falls, Minnesota, Mrs. Raymond (Mabel) Weeks of Clarkfield, Mrs. Ed (Hazel) Loe of Cottonwood, Palmer of Wood Lake, Minnesota, Harold of New London, Minnesota, Ordell on the home farm at Hanley Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as two brothers, Adolph and Selmer. IN MEMORY OF LEONARD H.
