Leona Anhalt was born on June 30, 1911 in Omro Township to parents Fred and Augusta (Schulz) Footh. She grew up in Omro Township and attended St. John's Lutheran Parochial School. She was baptized on July 23, 1911 and confirmed at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. Leona married Harold Anhalt on February 20, 1935. To this union were born: Larry, Marilyn, Myron, Dale, and Karen. Leona passed away on Monday evening, December 4, 1995 at the Clarkfield Care Center at the age of 84 years, 5 months, and 5 days. She is survived by her husband and children: Marilyn (Earl) Footh, Myron (Darlene) Anhalt, Dale (LaVonne) Anhalt, Karen (James) Mamer; eight grandchildren: Linda Copland, Lorie Footh, Wade Footh, Michael Anhalt, Tammy Anhalt-Warner, Chad Anhalt, Jason Mamer and Kristi Towner. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren: Joshua, Jared and Jordan Anhalt, Matthew, Daniel and Andrew Copland, Casandra, James, Courtney, and Stephanie Footh, Bryce Mamer and Alex Towner, and one sister-in-law, Helen Footh, niece Deloris Galow Pierce and nephew DuWayne Galow. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son, Larry, infant granddaughter, Sandra Footh, brother Walter Footh, sister Caroline Galow, and brother-in-law Walter Galow. Blessed be her memory.
