Lenord Clinton Olson, the youngest child of Peder John and Oline Olson, was born February 15, 1913, in Lisbon Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. He was baptized into the Christian faith on March 16, 1913, by Rev. Ludvig Pederson and confirmed on July 17, 1927, by Rev. H.O. Lee in the Camp Release Lutheran Church. He attended grade school in District 12, Lisbon Township and graduated from the Montevideo High School in 1930. He was actively engaged in farming on the family homestead and currently served as township assessor. He served as chairman of School District 12, was active in church and community affairs, served as chairman of the Soil Conservation District and worked with Farmers Union. On December 31, 1936, he was united in marriage to Mildred Miessner of Canby, Minnesota. To this union three children were born: James Clinton of Minneapolis, Catherine Elaine (Mrs. Ronald Lohn) of Carver, Minnesota, and Peter Benjamin of Clarkfield, Minnesota. Mr. Olson passed away while on vacation at Weslaco, Texas, on March 2, 1971, at the age of 58 years. Along with his wife and children, he is survived by eight grandchildren; one sister, Josephine (Mrs. Harold Aanes) of Minneapolis; two brothers: Luthard and Clifford of Granite Falls, Minnesota; and a host of relatives and friends. His parents, one sister and four brothers preceded him in death. IN MEMORY OF LENORD C.
