Lena Morland was born April 5, 1892, in Norway to parents Anders and Ingeborg Blaness. She was baptized and confirmed in Norway and came to the U. S. in 1910. She lived and worked in the Gary, South Dakota area for a time, then moved to Fort Dodge, Iowa. She married Nels Morland on March 29, 1916, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge, lowa. They then moved to the Clarkfield, Minnesota area where she spent the rest of her life. She lived an active life up until the time of her death. She passed away February 20, 1979 at the age of 86 years. This union was blessed with six children, four daughters and two sons. Surviving are her husband, Nels; Mrs. Floyd (Eleanor) Hovdesven of Cottonwood, Minnesota; Arden Morland of Clarkfield, Minnesota; Mrs. Bruce (Norma) Frank of Le Sueur, Minnesota; Mrs. Harold (Delores) Sievers of Los Alamites, California; Harry E. Morland of Marshall, Minnesota; son- in-law, Ralph Frank of Minneapolis, Minnesota; twenty-three grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Anna Vinnece of Humboldt, Iowa; and two sisters in Norway. She was preceded in death by daughter, Gladys Frank; parents, one sister and one brother. Lena will be sadly missed by her family. Blessed be her memory. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
