Obituary

Lela Geneva Anderson Larson was born on January 17, 1909, the daughter of Gilbert and Ida (Husebo) Anderson in Friendship Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in the Hazel Run church. She attended rural school near Hazel Run and graduated from the Clarkfield High School in 1927. On September 4, 1930, she was united in marriage to Eugene Larson at the Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. In the spring of 1931, the young couple started farming near Hanley Falls, Minnesota, where they were members of the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church and she was active in ladies aid work. In March, 1957, they moved to their present home in the Milan and Watson community. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and the ladies aid. In January her health began to fail and she entered the Mayo Clinic on March 18. She passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 26, 1960, in Rochester, Minnesota, at the age of 51 years. She leaves to mourn her husband, Gene, and son, Richard. Also her step mother, Mrs. Gilbert (Mathilda) Anderson of Clarkfield; four brothers and two sisters, namely, Orville of Dawson, Minnesota, Eunice and Vernice (Mrs. Harold Dahl) of Minneapolis, Arley of Morris, Minnesota, Marvin of Hazel Run, Minnesota, Erling of Clarkfield, Minnesota; five nieces and five nephews and many other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death was her father; her mother; one sister, Erna; and two brothers, Leon and Odean. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
