Gifford Maursetter was born at Clarkfield, Minnesota, on April 16, 1901, to Rasmus and Sena (Harvey) Maursetter. He was baptized and confirmed in the Clarkfield Lutheran Church and graduated from Clarkfield High School in 1921, after which he attended Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis for two years. He worked at Flint, Michigan, for a time before returning to Clarkfield where he worked as a mechanic for two years. Since that time he has been engaged in farming. On June 29, 1927, he was united in marriage to Ellnora Gebers. This union was blessed with two daughters, Earlene (Mrs. Alton Rolighed) and Bethal (Mrs. Delmore Fenske). He is survived by his wife, Ellnora; two daughters, Earlene and Bethal; two sons-in-law, Alton Rolighed and Delmore Fenske; ten grandchildren: Thomas Rolighed, Laurel Hartfiel, Ruth, Carmen and Jean Rolighed, Mark, Lois, Glenda, Barbara and Jolayne Fenske; one brother, Richard Einslee of Montevideo, Minnesota; one sister, Ruddella (Mrs. Orville Jacobson) of Grove City, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jergon and Berkie. Gifford had reached the age of 73 years, 7 months, and 7 days. Blessed be his memory. IN MEMORY OF L.
