Obituary

Larry Paul Janiszeski was born October 19, 1951, in Hendricks, Minnesota, to parents Paul and Verna (Bren) Janiszeski. He was baptized, received his first Communion and confirmed at St. John's Cantius Catholic Church, Wilno, Minnesota. He became a member of Bergen Lutheran Church, Granite Falls, Minnesota, in 1988. Larry graduated from Canby High School, Canby, Minnesota, in 1969. He attended Pipestone Vo-Tech, Pipestone, Minnesota. Larry was united in marriage to Sherry Idso on June 16, 1974, at Christ Lutheran Church of Cottonwood, Minnesota. They dairy farmed in the Taunton, Canby, and Granite Falls areas. For seven years he worked for Kvistero Farms near Milan, Minnesota. Recently he was employed by Cliff Viessman Trucking as a milk route driver. He enjoyed spending any time he could with his grandchildren. He was an active volunteer in Minnesota High School Rodeo, Little Britches Rodeo, Chippewa County 4-H Horse Project and the State 4-H Horse Show. He was a member of the Minneota and Benson Saddle Clubs. Larry passed away Sunday, August 10, 2003, as a result of injuries in an accident received at his home several weeks earlier at the age of 51 years, 9 months and 22 days. He is survived by his wife Sherry, of Boyd, Minnesota; and their children: Stacy Lorenzen of Willmar, Minnesota, Kim (and Pegi) Janiszeski of Dawson, Minnesota, Jackie Janiszeski of Granite Falls, Minnesota, and Scott Janiszeski of Annville, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Shane, Bailey and Brooke-Lynn Janiszeski and Kody, Tayde and Jace Odegard; his mother, Verna of Ivanhoe, Minnesota; brothers Roger (and Alice) Janiszeski of Canby, Minnesota, Doug (and Julie) Janiszeski of Minneota, Minnesota, and Curtis Janiszeski of Fulda, Minnesota; sister-in-law Peggy (and Clayton) Willhite of Rapid City, South Dakota; brothers-in-law: Ken Idso of Boseman, Montana, Kevin Idso (and Tammy Smith) of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Kacy (and Tami) Idso of Hanley Falls, Minnesota; plus many nieces, nephews, and friends He was preceded in death by his father Paul Janiszeski in 1992; brother-in-law Kris Idso in 2002; and his grandparents Henry and Mary Janiszeski and Albert and Gladys Bren. Blessed be his memory.
