Kristian Don Idso was born May 22, 1963, at the Clarkfield Hospital, Clarkfield, Minnesota, to parents David and Nellie (Ferguson) Idso. He was baptized June 2, 1963, and confirmed April 23, 1978, at Christ Lutheran Church, Cottonwood, Minnesota. He attended school at Cottonwood, Marshall U in St. Paul and Marshall High School, graduating in 1981. He was united in marriage to Brandy Smith October 30, 1997, in Brookings, South Dakota. To this union two sons were born, Asbjorn Kristian and Kjell David. Kris was active in FFA, going to state in Wildlife Judging. He raised and released many pheasants and quail. He bred and raised Vizsla dogs. He loved to hunt, fish and be outdoors. He had a lawn care business. Kris passed away Thursday evening, June 20, 2002, at the Fairview-University Hospitals in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the age of 39 years and 29 days. He is survived by his wife Brandy; sons: Asbjorn (4 years) and Kjell (2 years); his parents David and DeAnn Idso of Alexandria, Minnesota, and Nellie and Leif Bjornebo of Cottonwood; sisters: Sherry and Larry Janiszeski of Boyd, Minnesota, Peg and Clayton Willhite of Rapid City, South Dakota; brothers: Kenny and Rhonda Idso of Bozeman, Montana, Kevin Idso and Tammy of St. Paul, Minnesota, Kacy and Tami Idso of Hanley Falls, Minnesota; grandmother Christine Okrina; seven nieces; five nephews; six great nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Tom Idso; maternal grandparents Don and Marie Ferguson; Godparents Georgia Idso, and Ted and Margaret Norgard.
