Knute A. Thompson was born May 14, 1889, in Westerheim Township of Lyon County, Minnesota, to T.K. and Elizabeth (Iverson) Thompson. He passed away December 13, 1975, at Weiner Memorial Hospital, Marshall, Minnesota, at the age of 86 years. During his lifetime he worked in farming, construction, and well drilling until his retirement. He then put on steam threshing shows for 15 years, fixed gas engines and made wood pieces. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Bettie (Peterson) Thompson; two sons: Kenneth and Ervin of Cottonwood; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, Marvin of Marshall; two sisters: Rosan (Mrs. Roy Meyer) of Cottonwood and May (Mrs. Lars Anderson) of Irene, South Dakota. Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother Olaf; two sisters: Della (Mrs. Henry Miller) and Mary (Mrs. Oscar Miller); and one grandson, Bruce. IN MEMORY OF KNUTE A.
