Kevin Shultz, of Hazel Run, died Tuesday July 5, 2016, at his home in Hazel Run at the age of 57. Memorial services will be held at the City Hall in Hazel Run on Monday, July 11th at 4:00 p.m. Those attending the service are encouraged to wear jeans and a t-shirt. Kevin Dean Shultz was born October 2, 1958, at Montevideo, Minnesota, the son of Gerald and Marlys (Tebben) Shultz. He grew up in the Clarkfield and Hazel Run area. Kevin graduated from Clarkfield High School in 1977 and then attended Alexandria Vo-Tech where he studied diesel mechanics. He was united in marriage with Judy Eddy in 1987. On August 24, 1991, his son Brandon Dirck was born. Kevin made his home in Hazel Run where he had worked on hog farms in the area and was currently working at BCH. He loved his pigs and took great care of them. Kevin enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially loved his hunting dogs. He is survived by his father, Gerald (Sharon) Shultz of Montevideo; a son, Brandon (fiancé Jamie Harrison) Dirck of Marshall; grandchildren: Carter and Kali; a sister, Jeryl (Howard) Martin of Hazel Run; a brother, Scott (Shelley) Shultz of Granite Falls; nieces and nephews: Amy (Nick) Lukken, Emily (David Johnson) Martin, Adam (Jamie) Martin, Natasha (Josh Hansen) Shultz, Andrew (Devann Knutson) Shultz, Alexi (fiancé Brandon Barrett) Shultz; and great-nieces and nephews: Keegan, Jayden, Blake, Jaxton, Austin, Hadley, Noah, Isabella, Zach, Chase, and Ramsey.
