Kerman Elvern Albin was born on July 7, 1924, the son of Carl and Ellen (Olson) Albin in Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. He was baptized at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Normania Township in September of 1924. Kerman was confirmed on June 5, 1938, at Hazel Run Lutheran Church, Hazel Run, Minnesota. He graduated from Clarkfield High School, Clarkfield, Minnesota, in 1943. On June 7, 1952, Kerman was united in marriage to Marjorie Elaine Rowberg at Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church in Hanley Falls, Minnesota. They were blessed with three children: Douglas, Marjane and Mary. Kerman and Marjorie farmed south of Granite Falls for 50 years, until his retirement. In 2002 Kerman and Marge celebrated 50 years of marriage. A short time later, he entered the Granite Manor, Granite Falls, Minnesota, due to his health. He loved the farm and the outdoors. Kerman enjoyed traveling. fishing, card parties, woodworking, anything John Deere, gardening and animals. Kerman loved all 'sweets', lutefisk and lefse. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Kerman was involved in Rural Youth, he measured bins for CCC, was President of Farmers Union of Minnesota Falls Township and was on the church council at Granite Falls Lutheran Church. Kerman passed away at the Manor on Thursday, November 22, 2007, at the age of 83 years, 4 months and 15 days. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie, of Granite Falls and their three children: Doug (and Lois) Albin of Clarkfield, Minnesota, Marjane (and Jim) McCallum of Pueblo West, Colorado, and Mary (and Doug) Millar of West Fargo, North Dakota; and his four grandchildren: Melanie (and Neil) Winterfeldt, Brady Millar, Andrew Albin and Kyle Millar. He is also survived by one brother, Erling Albin of Hanley Falls, Minnesota; brother-in-law, Phillip Rowberg of Murrietta, California; nieces, nephews and special family friend, Angie Siegfried. He was preceded in death by his parents; four infant brothers; two brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law. Blessed be his memory.
