Obituary

Kenneth Hanson was born November 11, 1900, on his parent's farm north of Clarkfield, Minnesota, to Hans R. and Malene (Vik) Hanson. He was baptized by Pastor Farseth and confirmed by Pastor Storaaslie at the Clarkfield Norwegian Evangelical Lutheran Church in 1915. Kenneth attended school in the Clarkfield area and later the Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis. On November 11, 1932, he was joined in marriage to Frances J. Holtan of Montevideo, Minnesota. To this union one daughter, Ann Malene, was born. As a young man Kenneth worked in North Dakota for several years and then spent 45 years as a businessman in Clarkfield. Preceding Kenneth in death were his parents; his wife in 1971; his sisters: Annie Jurgenson, Gertrude Nelson, Malene Hanson and an infant Rachel; his brothers: Roy, Miller and Ted. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Duane Sherwin and grandsons Jeffrey, Erik and Per of Vancouver, Washington; one sister, Mrs. Raymond Friberg of Eugene, Oregon; plus a number of nieces and nephews. His friendliness and good humor will be missed by all who knew him. Blessed be his memory!
