Keith Alan Swanson was born in Granite Falls, Minnesota on June 30, 1965 to parents Wesley and Ardythe (Hanson) Swanson. He was baptized on August 8, 1965 at Hawk Creek Lutheran Church and confirmed on May 3, 1981 at Clarkfield Lutheran Church. Keith graduated from Clarkfield High School in 1984. Following graduation, he attended Willmar Vocational Technical Institute in the Carpentry Class. Keith married Sarah Gorman on June 17, 1989 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hayfield. Two children, were born to them: Nicholas and Benjamin. At the time of his death he was employed by US West Telephone Company, as a Telephone Specialist. Keith passed away in Elgin, Minnesota on Monday, January 26, 1998 at the age of 32 years, 6 months, and 28 days. He is survived by former wife, Sarah; sons Nicholas, age 8 and Benjamin, age 6; daughter Jasmine, age 2; and her mother Rosemary. He is also survived by his mother Ardy Swanson of Clarkfield; brothers Chuck and Greg; and sister Kristen. He is also survived by nephew Chad and niece Missy and special cousin Dave and several cousins and one aunt. Keith was preceded in death by his father, Wes in 1977 and grandparents.
