Kay Julene Jessen was born on June 17, 1957, at Clarkfield, Minnesota. She was brought to Zion Lutheran Church on July 7, 1957, and received the sacrament of holy baptism by Rev. Tr. H. Rehwaldt. In May of this year, Kay was stricken with lukemia and received treatment at the Clarkfield Hospital and later at Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis. She regained enough strength to be able to be up and play until a few weeks ago when she again had to be taken to Minneapolis for further treatment. She passed away quietly at the Clarkfield Hospital on Sunday, July 19, 1959. Kay will be missed especially by her parents; her brothers, Bradley, age three and Ronald, ten months; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Fenske; and her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jessen; uncles and aunts and many other relatives.
