Kathryn Rose Janssen was born at Clarkfield, Minnesota, on November 9, 1944, the daughter of Leonard and Rose (Loose) Eggen. She was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church by Rev. Louis Rosin on December 3, 1944, and confirmed on March 22, 1959, at the Clarkfield Lutheran Church by Rev. P.L. Mork. She attended the Clarkfield School and was graduated from the high school with the class of 1962. She attended the Willmar Community College where she took a course in beauty culture and then practiced as a beautician in St. Paul. Kathryn was married last June 5th to Bailey Janssen of Montevideo, Minnesota, at the Clarkfield Lutheran Church by Rev. C.M. Bagaason. The young couple has since resided in Minneapolis. She passed away on Saturday, December 18, 1965, at the University Hospital in Minneapolis, at the age of twenty-one. She had been seriously ill for four and one-half months. Surviving her are her husband, Bailey, of Minneapolis; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Eggen of Clarkfield; a sister, Mrs. Donald West of Minneapolis; a brother, Ronald, of Brookings, South Dakota; her grandmother, Mrs. Edd T. Rogge of Clarkfield; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Janssen of Montevideo, Minnesota; and a host of aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
