Kathleen Mae Bott was born May 12, 1922, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to parents Peter and Martha (Anderson) Johnson. Her father died in the winter of 1923 and the family moved to Walnut Grove, Minnesota, when her mother married Elmer Converse. She was baptized in 1934 at the Methodist Church in Walnut Grove. Kathleen married Norman Bott on May 12, 1939, at Walnut Grove. They ran the family farm for two years and then lived in the Minnesota communities of Walnut Grove, Lucan, Marshall and Hazel Run, where Norman was an auto mechanic. Kathleen worked as a school bus driver and custodian at the Hazel Run School. She also operated the K & M Cafe in Hazel Run and worked at the Clarkfield Care Center. She was an active member of the Hazel Run Lutheran Church. In 1986, Norman retired and they moved to Valhalla Apartments in Clarkfield, Minnesota. After Norman's death she moved to the Sunrise Manor in Tyler, Minnesota, where she remained until the time of her death. Kathleen passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2009, at the Sunrise Manor at the age of 87 years, 4 months and 27 days. She is survived by her daughter, Mary (and husband Alvin) Taylor of Tyler; and sons, David (and wife Shelley) Bott of Mesa, Arizona, and Mark (and wife Colleen) Bott of Alexandria, Minnesota. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Sorenson of Brandon, South Dakota, Goldie Gullickson of Walnut Grove, Minnesota, Norma Fox of Appleton, Minnesota, Lois Rolland of San Jose, California, and Janet Jensen of Salem, Oregon; plus nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; step-father; mother; infant son Gary; infant daughter Jilleen; and husband Norman. Blessed be her memory. In Loving Memory of Kathleen M.
