Karl Frederick Pipke was born on August 10, 1918, at the home of his parents Edward and Elizabeth (Golnick) Pipke in Omro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. He was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church on September 1, 1918, by Pastor Wm. Pankow and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran on May 24, 1936, by Pastor A. W. Fuerstenau. Karl attended St. John's Parochial School and District #80. Karl farmed with his brothers Ruben and Paul in Omro Township his entire life. He was a life long member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Karl passed away on Friday, July 18, 2003, at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Dawson, Minnesota, at the age of 84 years, 11 months and 23 days. He is survived by his sister Adele of Boyd, Minnesota; his cousins Elda Kopitzke and Lydia Stelter; along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Edward in 1955; mother Elizabeth in 1960; brother Ruben in 1996; and his brother Paul in 2003.
