Mrs. K. Alvina Sorenson, 88, formerly of the Hazel Run, Minnesota area, died Friday, November 8, 1985, at the Fridley Convalescent Home, Fridley, Minnesota. Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 12, 1985, at the Hazel Run Lutheran Church, Hazel Run, Minnesota, with Pastor William Klavetter officiating. At the service the special music was sung by Loren Norgaard with organist Mrs. Duane Jacobson. Casket Bearers were Willis Johnson, Olaf Risa, Vernon Rupp, Curtis Wilson, Leslie Wilson and Walter Wilson. Final Resting Place is the Hazel Run Lutheran Cemetery. She was born December 16, 1896, in Hale Township of McLeod County, Minnesota, to Albert and Emelia (Moenke) Lunow. She was the eighth child in a family of 13 children. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and on February 12, 1921, married Knute Sorenson in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is survived by husband Knute and son Everett of Anoka, Minnesota; daughter-in-law and three grandchildren; a sister and four brothers.
