Justina Elizabeth (Grengs) Homan (August 20, 1919 ~ April 2, 2010) Justina Elizabeth Grengs Homan was born August 20, 1919, to parents George and Clara (Lanners) Grengs at Sisseton, South Dakota. She was baptized in Sisseton in the Catholic faith. Justina married Raymond J. Homan on October 3, 1939, at the St. Leo Catholic Church, St. Leo, Minnesota. They were the parents of two sons: Stanley and David. Ray and Justina farmed their entire married life. They retired and moved to Clarkfield in the mid 1980's. Justina belonged to Swede Prairie Homemakers Club, Card Club and was a faithful member of St. Isidores Catholic Church in Clarkfield until it closed and at that time she joined St. Joseph's Church in Montevideo, Minnesota. She was very active in going to visit friends at the Clarkfield Care Center and the Valhalla Apartments. She was active in her church and was the 'apple pie baker' in town. She had one thing she loved to do--mow her lawn, even early in the morning. She passed away at the Clarkfield Care Center on Friday, April 2, 2010, at the age of 90 years, 7 months and 13 days. She is survived by her sons: Stanley (and Sharon) Homan of Boyd, Minnesota, and David (and Rosemary) Homan of Huntley, Illinois. She is also survived by five grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond in 2004, a brother in infancy and brother Joseph Grengs. Blessed be her memory. In Loving Memory of Justina E.
