IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Junia Mathilda
Nelson
June 6, 1889 – February 25, 1956
Miss Junina Mathilda Nelson, age 66 years, and whose death occurred on Saturday, February 25, 1956, at the Clarkfield Community Hospital, was born June 6, 1889, in Swede Prairie Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. Her parents were Peter and Helga Nelson. For the past seven years, Junia's health had been failing, but during the past half year her illness became more critical. She was hospitalized for the last two weeks of her life. Nels, her only survivor, was at her bedside in prayer when death came. Junina was baptized by Rev. C.O. Bengtson and confirmed by Rev. C.E. Shaleen. Junina's entire life was spent at her birthplace and was one of hard work and service, not only for her family but also to her neighbors and friends and to anyone in need. She took an active part in the Luther League and Ladies Aid of the Swede Home Church as long as her health permitted. She never complained but was always cheerful, even during her lingering, painful illness. She was very generous in her giving, which can be substantiated by her gifts to the Swede Home congregation Junina was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Helga Nelson, and the following brother and sisters: Hannah, Andrew, Anna, and Christine. Junina will be sadly missed by her brother, Nels, relatives and friends. IN MEMORY OF JUNINA M. NELSON June 6, 1889 ~ February 25, 1956 Funeral Services Tuesday, February 28, 1956, 1:30 p m.
